Product Introduction

The E680 series three-layer Ethernet switches (hereinafter referred to as "E680") are high-performance, high-density 10GE/25GE/40GE/100GE switches built with the Ethernet switching chip CTC8180.

The E680 is equipped with CentecOS system software, which supports mainstream protocol standards and applications, enabling convenient and rapid deployment and management.

Currently, E680 offers the following configuration models: E680-32C; E680-48Y8C; E680-48X8C; E680-24Y4C; E680-48X6Q; E680-24Q.

Product Features

Adopt high-performance Ethernet core switching chip

  • The E680 series routing switches, equipped with the high-performance Ethernet core switching chip CTC8180 from Shengke, are capable of meeting the needs of enterprise networks, hyper-converged applications, and other related use cases.

Rich port configurations

  • Supports multiple port configurations such as 10G/25G/40G/100G, adaptable to various network deployment requirements.

Rich network virtualization and intelligent lossless network features

  • Support cutting-edge technologies: Priority-based Flow Control (PFC), Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN), etc.
  • Supporting MLAG (Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation), it achieves cross-device link aggregation by aggregating interfaces on two aggregation switches across devices, thereby enhancing link reliability from the board level to the device level, forming an Active-Active system. A Peer-link is connected between the two aggregation switches, making them logically appear as one device. The ports on the two devices jointly form aggregated ports, allowing all ports to participate in the forwarding of data traffic. Compared to stacking, devices forming MLAG still need to be managed separately, but MLAG configuration is relatively simple, and no restart is required after configuration. At the same time, forwarding decisions are all made locally, and under normal circumstances, traffic does not need to be forwarded through interconnection paths between devices, avoiding the interconnection path bandwidth becoming a bottleneck and reducing latency.
  • Supporting Overlay technology (including tunneling technologies such as VXLAN, NVGRE, and GENEVE), it encapsulates complete inner Ethernet packets through headers like VXLAN, NVGRE, and GENEVE, enabling layer 2 packets to traverse layer 3 networks. This addresses issues in traditional layer 2 networks, such as the limitations imposed by device MAC table entry specifications on network scale, the restrictions posed by the number of VLAN IDs on network isolation capabilities, and the inability of traditional VLAN/VPN technologies to meet dynamic network adjustment requirements. Taking VXLAN as an example, the 24-bit VNI identifier can support up to 16,777,215 logical networks. In a large layer 2 network constructed using VXLAN, address parameters like IP and MAC can remain unchanged during virtual machine migration.
  • E680 supports the implementation of SDN (Software Defined Network) through an open API interface. SDN is an innovative network architecture system that significantly simplifies network management and maintenance by separating the control layer from the data forwarding layer.

high reliability

  • The on-site pluggable modular power supply supports AC or DC 1+1 backup; the fan supports 2+2 backup and intelligent speed regulation; it also supports real-time monitoring of the temperature, power supply, and fan status of the chipset.
  • Supporting features such as LACP / ECMP / VRRP / VARP / STP/RSTP/MSTP / Smart Link /BFD / ERPS / G.8031/G.8032 / Load-Balancing, it provides comprehensive and efficient protection for data traffic in the network.
  • The patented feature, Sysmon, can detect CPU status and take protective measures in case of software errors.

Excellent management features

  • Supports a rich set of management interfaces, including Console, in-band Ethernet ports, out-of-band Ethernet ports, and USB ports; supports SNMPv1/v2/v3, CLI command line, Web management, TELNET, and FTP configuration; supports OAM for easier device management, and also supports encryption methods such as SSH2.0 and SSL for enhanced security in management.
